Chuck began 61 years of marriage with the love of his life, Mickey Alvis, on July 2, 1955. They started their family in 1956 with three children following, Patti Jo, Danny and Sandy. Chuck worked for the Rasmussen Group for nearly 40 years working his way to Superintendent. He supervised the building of bridges in various locations all over the Midwest before retiring in 1996.

Chuck loved the great outdoors- hunting, fishing and gardening- everything from tomatoes to roses. When not in the garden or fishing, he could be found in his woodworking shop or enjoying a great game of cribbage. He especially loved the trips to Canada with his brothers, son, grandson, great-grandson, sons-in-law, nephews and close family friends. This was an annual trip lasting more than 30 years. His last trip was in 2019 at age 88 and he was looking forward to going back this year!

He also continued his love of woodworking which started before high school right up to the days before he passed. A hobby that he enjoyed teaching his son, grandson, granddaughters and great-granddaughters, along with countless other family members and friends.

He enjoyed time spent with his church family in fellowship and food. He will be missed by his weekly prayer group and “Stump Alexa” gatherings.
