In typical Rob fashion he nicknamed himself “Hobby Robby” when he started racing a Hobby Stock at the now closed Iowa State Fair Speedway. From then on he was lovingly know as, Hobby Robby, by his family, friends and co-workers and the nickname fit him perfectly. Rob didn’t just pick up new hobbies he became them. Some of his more notable transformations were: overall wearing bluegrass singer, light saber wielding Star Wars character, vampire slayer for Buffy, kitchen gadget amateur chef extraordinaire, honorary Chief’s armchair quarterback, expert fisherman knot tyer, head of the Des Moines K-Pop fandom, and of course race car driver.

Rob was preceded in death by his Dad, Daniel Webb. He is survived by his Mom, Connie Webb; Step Mom, Peggy Webb; his children, Daniel and Coleen Webb.

A celebration of life and dinner will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #109 at 6567 Bloomfield Rd Des Moines, IA 50320 on Thursday June 24th from 4 to 8pm. Memorial contributions can be made to the family.
