Glen E. Hayworth, Jr., 62, passed away Friday, October 2, 2009 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.
Glen was born November 28, 1946 in Des Moines to Glen and Genevieve Hayworth. He was a member of Local #33 Plumbers and Steamfitters for over 35 years, retiring in 2001. Glen enjoyed watching the stock market, drinking Budweiser, growing flowers, drag racing and horse racing. He loved football and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.
Glen is survived by his wife, Carol; son, Joe; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Helen Upton; and daughter, Jill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU.WE WERE VERY SADDENED TO HEAR OF GLENS PASSING. HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND AND A GOOD NEIGHBOR.
HE WAS A TRIP........WE ALL KNOW HE LIVED HIS LIFE HIS OWN WAY.
HE ALWAYS TRIED TO ACT LIKE A TOUGH GUY, BUT THEN HIS BIG HEART WOULD COME THROUGH.HE WAS A GOOD MAN.
IF THERE IS ANY THING WE CAN DO YOU KNOW WE ARE HERE.
HE WILL BE MISSED.
