Reba Jeanne Burr, age 93, peacefully passed away on June 4th, 2021 at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny, IA. Reba was born Oct 27th, 1927 in Marshalltown, IA to Dora and Albert Sayer.
Reba married to JD (Wink) Curtis in 1947 and had 3 children (Karen, Larry & Ron). She later married Kenneth Burr in 1968 and had a daughter, Marcia. Reba’s occupations started with Look Magazine and retired from Brenton Bank.
Reba led a positive life and enjoyed the simple things in life like reading and poetry. She loved to travel and spend time with numerous grand and great- grandchildren. She enjoyed music, television, bingo, word puzzles, Prairie Meadows, and the Iowa State Fair. Reba was a member of Park Avenue Presbyterian Church in Des Moines Iowa.

Daughter Karen Schultz of Urbandale IA; grandson Frederick (Karen Dawn) Schultz of Stickney IL and great-grandchildren Mark & Nathan; grandson Kristopher (Amy) Schultz of Cumming IA and great-children Kaleb, Joshua & Anna Son Larry (Deb) Curtis of Urbandale, IA; grandson Ryan (Lisa) Curtis of Urbandale and great-grandchildren Haley & Megan; Grandson Brad (Kelli) Curtis of Waukee and great-grandchildren Kayla, Carter, Emma, great-great grandchild Ian Kunze Grandson Neal Curtis of Baxter IA, great-grandchildren Macy, Madison, and Wyatt, great-great grandchildren Serenity, Lucas and Layne; Son Ron (Dee) Curtis of Spokane Washington Daughter Marcia (Mike) McGrew of Ankeny IA; grandsons Morgan and Mason Reba is preceded in death by parents Dora & Albert Sayer, husband Kenneth Burr, granddaughter Dana, and son-in-law Karl Schultz
There will be a small graveside service at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery on Monday, June 14th at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to Park Avenue Presbyterian Church, 3120 SW 9th St., Des Moines, IA 50315 or Sunny View Care Center, 410 NW Ash Dr. Ankeny, IA 50023.
