Leticia López Torres, de 17 años, falleció repentinamente el 30 de mayo de 2021. Leticia nació el 10 de agosto de 2003 en Michoacán, México, y su familia se mudó a Des Moines, Iowa, cuando tenía un año. Leticia era estudiante de tercer año en East High School, donde formó un grupo de amigos muy cercanos. Leticia era una maquilladora extremadamente talentosa y le encantaba peinarse, siempre se veía arreglada y hermosa. Decir que Leticia será muy extrañada por familiares y amigos no comienza a describir su pérdida.

A Leticia le sobreviven cariñosamente su madre, Guadalupe Torres Ríos; padre, Uriel Lopez Soto; los hermanos Angel, Jessica, Lupita, Urielito, Natasha y Kevin; los abuelos, Juana Ríos, Antonia Soto y Froylan Lopez; y una gran cantidad de familiares y amigos cariñosos.

El velorio se llevará acabo de 6:00 a 8:00 p.m., el miércoles 9 de junio de 2021 en Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. La misa de entierro cristiano se llevará a cabo a las 11:00 a.m., el jueves 10 de junio en Our Lady of the Americas, 1271 E 9th St, Des Moines.

Leticia Lopez Torres, age 17, passed away suddenly on May 30, 2021. Leticia was born on August 10, 2003 in Michoacan, Mexico, and her family moved to Des Moines, Iowa, when she was one years old. Leticia was a junior at East High School, where she made a very close friend group. Leticia was an extremely talented makeup artist and loved doing hair, she always looked done up and beautiful. To say that Leticia will be greatly missed by family and friends does not begin to describe their loss.

Leticia is lovingly survived by her mother, Guadalupe Torres Rios; father, Uriel Lopez Soto; siblings, Angel, Jessica, Lupita, Urielito, Natasha, and Kevin; grandparents, Juana Rios, Antonia Soto, and Froylan Lopez; and a host of loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 10th at Our Lady of the Americas, 1271 E 9th St, Des Moines.
