Bernice Muehlenthaler

Bernice Muehlenthaler was born October 25, 1924, in Benson, Minnesota, the daughter of Vern and Mary Hutchins. She passed away peacefully on May 28, 2021, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston at the age of 96.

Bernice was a devoted member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

Bernice is survived by her daughters, Diane Muehlenthaler and Dorine (Larry) Holle; son, Chet (Sue) Muehlenthaler, as well as 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; parents, Vern and Mary Hutchins, and her 5 siblings.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. A graveside service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in loving memory of Bernice.
