Ann Ruden

Ann Ruden, 74, passed away peacefully Friday, May 28, 2021 at her daughter’s home, (Denise Allgood). She was born March 17, 1947 in Mansfield, Louisiana.

Ann was the manager for the State of Iowa Liquor Store. When that closed, she finished raising her children and then continued providing in-home day care for her grandchildren. After her husband died, she worked many years as a cook at Courtyard Estates in Bondurant.

Ann enjoyed cooking, especially making big meals for her family. She liked to fish and gamble as well.

Ann is survived by her children, Brad Ruden, Denise (Doug) Allgood, and Michael Ruden; step-children, Doug (Lori) Ruden, Renee (Darrell) Ruden, and Greg Ruden; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Hester French; and a host of other family and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Ruden; step-son, Paul Ruden; and sisters, Lee, Carolyn, and Sue.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines with interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
