Dwayne H. Fleming

Dwayne H. Fleming, 82, passed away on May 27, 2021, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Centerville, Iowa, on February 18, 1939, the son of Harold and Lila Fleming.

Dwayne attended the University of Iowa for two years prior to being drafted into the United States Army. Upon returning from service, Dwayne farmed in Jefferson County for a number of years before moving to the state of Nevada in 1991. He worked as a Tax Investigator for the State of Nevada from 1991-2005. After retirement, he moved back to Iowa to be closer to his family.

Dwayne enjoyed bicycling, particularly on the High Trestle Trail. He also enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and his high school classmates.

Dwayne is survived by his sons, Jeff (Jennifer) Fleming and Joel (Jamie) Fleming; grandchildren, Dena, Jamie, Kailyn, Kambri, Cheyenne, and Clayton; mother of his sons, Connie Fleming; his siblings, Charlene Pepper, Diane Quince, and Roger (Judy) Fleming; as well as a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Jerold Fleming.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 4, 2021, at Drakesville Cemetery in Drakesville, Iowa.
