Joyce K. Gregory (Luce)

Joyce Kay Gregory (Luce), 67, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Joyce was born May 15, 1954 in Des Moines, Iowa to Joseph and Pattie Luce. She married Steven Gregory on June 16, 1972 in Des Moines, Iowa.

She enjoyed shopping with her sisters, and playing cards with her brothers and mom. She loved being with her family and she made sure she and Steve never missed a holiday. Joyce worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for twenty years and travelled all over the country presenting at educational conferences.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steve; sons, David Gregory and Andy (Angela Shockey) Gregory; grandchildren, Kobe, Gage, Levi and Rylee Gregory; siblings, Joe (Kathy) Luce, Diane (Brad) Ziegler, Terry (Dave) Warren, Sherry (Gail) Anderson, Kim (Mark) Rundle, and Jim (Saree) Luce; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other extended relatives and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Pattie Luce.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at Restland Cemetery, Baxter, Iowa.
