Marcel Victor Quinton Fetters
May 11, 2021
Marcel Victor Quinton Fetters, 28, passed away on Tuesday May 11, 2021, in Fort Dodge Iowa. Marcel was born in Des Moines, the son of Carolyn Brown Fetters and Jack Brown.
Marcel was born into a large family of 2 brothers and 2 sisters on a warm June day in 1992. He attended school in Des Moines and graduated Job Core with his diploma and a certification in construction. He enjoyed an array of activities including watching his favorite cooking shows for inspiring recipes then preparing delicious healthy meals, lifting weights, playing video games with his cousins and fishing at the closest pond or beautiful lake for hours at a time. Then returning home proud with his prize catches of the day that he would share with loved ones.
Listening to music on his vinyl records fed his soul. He expressed his own creativity through writing lyrics, composing melodies and playing his electric guitar. Making memories with an occasional freestyle with family.
Above all else Marcel had the most lovable heart. He loved his family and often told them so. He adored being an Uncle and always tried to share what he had with his nieces and nephews. He was fiercely loyal.
Marcel strived to find his path and ultimately wished to express his eternal undying love with a promise to forever watch over and protect his family. His words.
Marcel is Survived by his Mother Carolyn Brown Fetters, Father Jack Brown, his siblings Sara Fetters, Aaron Fetters, Jaymes Barnett, Jasmine Fetters, and Tina Stallworth. Many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held on June 10th, at 1pm at Community Chapel an Open Bible Church, 414 E 27th St. Des Moines, IA. 50317

As his mom I had to do what was safe for Marcel when he was young. And everyone knew what I was keeping him safe from but this is not the place to get into that. Once Marcel became a man he chose to see the other half of his family the Browns and I was fine with that because he was old enough to protect himself by then.

We are so sorry for your family's losses especially your son because we feel our children should outlive us. Although I never met him it sounds like he was a wonderful young man and one to be very proud of. This has been so hard these last few years on so many of us and we are keeping the whole family in our prayers and pray that God will bless you all ❣🤗🙏

I've always loved you my nephew! Even though you wasn't allowed into my life! I always looked for you in everyone that I though that resembled us! I remember when I found you. I now know that you knew who I was also! And now you was a young adult. My wait was over!! And you came back slowly to us! I love you dearly and tried to ensure that you knew that! That I was your aunt and that I was there, that I love you, and I believe in my heart that you knew that! I am missing what it could have been! We both loved cooking and talked extensively about it and foods! I will continue to take care of your dad! I love you and will see you in the end. EndlesslyAuntBarb!
