Jacquie L. Maxwell

Jacquie Lou Maxwell, age 68, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Unity Point Health, Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jacquie was born May 24, 1953 in Omaha, Nebraska to Honey Lou and Jack Eugene McCulley. She graduated from Urbandale High School in 1971. Jacquie was united in marriage to James Disney and to this union two children were born, Joseph and Michael. They later divorced. She later married David Maxwell on April 4, 2002 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jacquie owned and operated Puppy Love in Des Moines until her retirement in 2013. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling on a league. Later, she loved painting, gardening, reading and going on scenic drives.

She is survived by her husband, David; sons, Joseph (Kelly) Disney and Michael Disney; grandchildren, Savanna, Austin, Adryanna and Chloe; sisters, Donna (Kevin) McCulley-Smith and Wanda (Frank) Petricek; and her dog, Lily.

Jacquie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Anthony McCulley.

Cremation will occur. There are no formal services planned at this time.
