Emily Webster-Kyle

Emily Jo Webster-Kyle, age 70, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her home in Des Moines.

Emily was born August 16, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert and Myrna (Hall) Myers. She graduated from Saydel High School and earned her BA in Sociology from Drake University. She served in the U. S. Army from 1968 – 1970 and worked for the IRS for 10 years prior to her retirement. Emily loved flowers and enjoyed gardening. She was a member of St. Ambrose Cathedral and a proud member of Narcotics Anonymous. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffery Kyle; sons, William Webster (Ann Marie), Matthew “Joe” Webster; brothers, Robert Myers (Janice), David Myers; sisters, Sharon Taylor (Joe), Dottie Metrolis, Colleen Davis; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.

Emily was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Myrna Myers and her brother, Richard Myers.

There will be a Rosary and Wake Service at 5:00 p.m., followed by a Visitation until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at St. Ambrose Cathedral, 607 High Street, Des Moines, and will conclude with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
