Michele Belt, age 62, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. She was born the daughter of Clarence and Carrie (Watkins) Belt on February 20, 1959 in Washington, D.C.

Michele will be remembered most for enjoying life, regardless of how it was at times. She was always up to something and known for making people laugh and giving them a hard time! Michele was especially good when it came to numbers, she enjoyed eating, and loved spending time with family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Christopher Belt and Stephanie Belt; sister, Mary Johnson; brother, Tracy Smallwood; and special niece, Mikele Williams.

Michele was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Carrie Belt; grandparents, John and Lena Watkins; sister, Naurita Belt; and super special niece, Asada Moore.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Urn burial will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Glendale Cemetery.
