Carol M. Foreman

Carol Michele Foreman passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 18, 2021, just a week shy of her 56th birthday. Carol valiantly fought both brain and lung cancer for two years. She bravely faced the pain and worry associated with treatment, and kept a positive outlook on what she knew to be a terminal diagnosis. She joins her beloved mother, Sandra Foreman, and her brother-in-law, Dennis Hoefle, who precede her in death.

Carol was born May 27, 1965 in Rock Island, Illinois to Curtis and Sandra (Buffington) Foreman. She graduated from Mazeppa High School in Minnesota in 1983 and was involved in many different sports in high school. Carol loved any outdoor activity, especially fishing and camping. She worked in the hotel industry for many years before moving into retail sales, including working for Home Depot in Des Moines. Carol had a good eye for design and an artistic touch.

She is survived by her son, Christopher Foreman; two grandchildren; father, Curtis (Judy) Foreman; siblings, Lisa Vande Walker, Tim (Jane) Foreman, Val Hoefle, Sara (Jeff) Kynion; many nieces, nephews, other loving family members, and friends.

Over the years Carol has blessed her family and friends with her caring heart and sense of humor. We will miss the sarcastic comebacks and quick smile. It gives us peace to know her earthly struggles are over and she can now truly rest. There will be a private family graveside service at Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Hope Ministries in loving memory of Carol.
