Arlene Cardenas

Arlene Cardenas, age 91, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, May 16, 2021.

Arlene was born February 19, 1930. She worked for some time in Woodward, Iowa in a care facility as a receptionist. Arlene was a very good cook and took pride in caring for her home and her family. She was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Louis; children, Anthony (Rose) Cardenas, David (Kayla) Negrete, and Maria Frances (Dan) Down; many grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has occurred and there will be no services held at this time. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Anthony Catholic Church in loving memory of Arlene.

My condolences to the Cardenas family. I met Arlene many years ago, while I was working as a hair stylist. Arlene made tortillas for me back in the day. She was a very kind and thoughtful lady. May she rest in peace.
