Writing this proved more difficult than I thought. The tears keep blurring my vision. Cant wipe them off before theyre back again. Yesterday, I found out through a text from a mutual friend of ours that you left us. At first I didnt believe it, but when she sent me your brothers statement, it hit me. You really were gone. Last time we spoke was on the 13th. I was wondering why I hadnt heard back from you, but I figured you were busy with work like usual. I am at complete loss of words. Weve spoken so much lately, its just unreal. We were planning on me visiting you in Des Moines for a summer vacation. And I was excited for that. Micheal, I sadly never got to meet you in person, but I did get the chance to be one of your best friends since 2017 when we got in touch. We were like brothers, and we said it ourselves. You were like my big brother, and I looked upon you like it. I will forever be grateful for our close bond, our friendship and our long conversations. Thank you for being my best friend. Thank you for being a listening ear and for holding my hand through tough times. And thank you for the valuable advices youve given me over the years. I swear to forever keep you in my heart, and to tell people about you. I desperately hope youre watching over me and that youll follow my every step throughout life while you hold my hand and give me advice and pointers along the way. And I pray we meet again some day. Thank you for everything. I love you brother.

I will never forget being introduced to you by Bridget. We had so much fun hanging out on the Fourth of July. Your passing breaks my heart. You were gone too soon and loved by many. Fly high, my friend.
