Chansouk Nanthanorath

Chansouk Nanthanorath, 94, passed away in Des Moines, IA. She was born in Vientiane, Laos on March 12, 1927 to Bountun & Thitoun Pongphimkham.

Chansouk traveled to the United States in 1985 to be with her family. She was an active member of the Buddhist community. Chansouk enjoyed her time being with family and friends. She entertained life with her active workouts to Prairie Meadows, playing cards with her friends, and spending memorable memories with the family. In her spare time she loved watching Asian soap operas (lakorn), snacking on BBQ chips, French fries, eating chicken feet, and drinking beer.

She is survived by her children Paketh Nanthanorath, Patheth (Duangta) Khanthavongsa, Bounyaveth (Debbie) Nanthanorath, Chathaneth Nanthanorath, Vethlavong (Sengkham) Nanthanorath, Choutpasong Nanthanorath, Damlong (Som) Nanthanorath. Along with 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Aunt, and friend. She will be forever in our hearts and memory.

She was loved greatly by many.
