Joseph Carl Schneider, 82, was born November 18, 1938 in Lenzburg, Illinois, the son of Henry and Frieda (Muench) Schneider. He passed away peacefully Sunday, May 9, 2021 at Taylor House.

Joseph will lovingly be remembered as a dedicated, loving husband, father and grandfather who cherished time spent with his family.

Joseph is survived by his sons, Jeffrey (Annie) Schneider, Kurt J. (Carol) Schneider, Ward A. (Kristin) Schneider and Troy D. (Dina) Schneider; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Henry (Violet) Schneider. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Doris; and his siblings, John, Eddie, George, Edna, Cordelia and Marie.

Cremation has occurred and there will be a celebration of life later this summer. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to UnityPoint Hospice – Taylor House, 3401 E Douglas Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317, in appreciation of their care of Joseph.
