Lawrence "Larry" Davis

Larry Lee Davis, 50, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021, in his hometown of Des Moines, Iowa.

Larry was born September 15, 1970, in Des Moines, Iowa to Henry and Geraldine (Taylor) Davis. He was their third child and only son. He was doted on by his two older sisters, Laurie and Linda. He spent his youngest years living in Iowa surrounded by family. At the age of 4, Larry moved with his parents and sisters to Northern California.

Larry was a charming, toe-headed little boy who had a zest for the California sunshine. He spent his teens and early 20’s enjoying the beaches and mountains around Scotts Valley and Santa Cruz. He loved all things fast and approached every experience with gusto. He was a free spirit who enjoyed life his way, on his terms. He loved to ride and drive anything with wheels - skateboards, bikes, motorcycles and cars - anything he could push the limits on.

Larry was an animal lover, and you would find his faithful friends at his side whenever possible. Though he had many furry companions over his lifetime, his great love, Asia, was his all-time bestie.

In the final weeks of his life, Larry had the great pleasure of meeting two of his three grandchildren. Zoey and Olivia brought him immense joy and a sparkle to his eyes.

Larry left this life as he lived it - on his own terms. For those of us who knew and loved him, he will forever be in our hearts.

He is survived by his daughter Marisa, son-in-law Derek, and granddaughters, Zoey and Olivia; his daughter Marina and grandson Joemir; his adoring sister Laurie; and many loving family members including his nieces, nephew and brothers-in-law.

Cremation has occurred and there will be no services held at this time.
