Traci Lyn Downey, age 51, passed away peacefully due to chronic medical conditions on Saturday May 1, 2021 in Knoxville Iowa. Traci was born the daughter of Vicki Moore and Jack Reeves in Creston, Iowa on March 31, 1970.
She was spontaneous, funny, giving, and had the biggest heart. She loved all of her family and friends unconditionally.
She is survived by daughters Shaynee Downey (Katae,) Delainee Moen, her son Alex Downey (Karissa,) her sisters Lori Miller (Nick,) Genea Moore, Kenda Moore (Bagdy,) her brother Jason Moore (Dawn,) Eight grandchildren, Eleven nieces and nephews, Five great nieces and nephews and many family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father’s Jack, Gene, and Howard. Traci’s beloved partner in life, Aaron Douglas Goemaat, who passed away on May 10, 2021 are now together again.
Services will be held by Hamilton’s Funeral Home. The family asks that you please wear a mask and practice COVID safety guidelines. Visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 14, 2021, with funeral service following at 2:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines.
