Blanche La Faver

Blanche Irene La Faver, 91, died Sunday, October 29, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Thursday, November 2, 2006 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Blanche was born August 10, 1915 to John and Myrtle Adams in Clarinda, Iowa. She married A.T. Reed in 1932 and Damon La Faver in 1952. Blanche was a member of Assembly of God Church and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Blanche is survived by her children, Jack (Karen) Reed of Brownwood, TX, Chuck Reed of Ottumwa, Betty Reed of Des Moines, Marty Reed of Des Moines, Delores (Francis_ Barker of Sylmar CA, Loretta Craig of Argyle, IA, Jim (Chris) Reed of Green Cove Springs, FL, and Sherry Phillips of Des Moines; 21 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, A.T. Reed; second husband, Damon La Faver; sons-in-law, Larry Phillips and Gerald Craig; three brothers; and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
