Crystal LaRae Hahn

With heavy hearts, Crystal LaRae Hahn, age 42, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 25th, 2021 at Rehabilitation Center in Des Moines, Iowa.

Crystal was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on February 23rd, 1979 to her father, Robert Leonard Hahn who preceded her in death, and her surviving mother, Sheila Raye Hahn (Johnson) and step-father, Randy Johnson.

Crystal is lovingly remembered by her beautiful daughters, Evelyn Niomi Hinman and Angel Rae Small, that she adored and took pride in. She is also survived by her two sisters, Kellie Momany and Tiffany Stangland. She was preceded in death by her sister, Susan Baker, and two brothers, David Momaney and Timothy Conway. She is also joining her grandmothers, Vivan Loise McFadden and Naomi Jean Hahn.

Crystal was recently proud to be a grandma to Aswad Terrell Sterling, Jr.; and proud aunt to her nieces, Alexandra, Faith, Dakota, and Natilee and nephews, Lucas, Little Timmy, Isaac, Benjamin, Edward, and Thaddeus; along with so many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that will miss her dearly.

Everyone that knew Crystal was aware of just how beautiful her character was. She was so lovely, caring, bubbly, and full of life, but was also sassy and spoke her mind. She enjoyed everything purple and green. Lilacs were her favorite color flowers along with roses. Things she loved doing were her nails, makeup, hair, and shopping. She also enjoyed watching cooking shows and soap operas, while of course enjoying eating her candy and drinking diet pop. She like dream catchers, Indians, and eagles. The most important things she lived for were being a mother, grandma, and being there for her family and friends.

There will be a celebration of life on Friday, April 30th, 2021 at Ashby Park, 3200 38th Street, Des Moines, IA from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.
