Kia Mesubed

Kia Allison Mesubed, 30, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021.

She is survived by her mother, Mihaina Robbins; siblings, Nohelani Salisbury, Merica Robbins, Arnice Yuji, Jannie Layne Niro; girlfriend, Richshunda Sims; best 4-legged friend, Gucci; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Kia was preceded in death by her father, Alister Yuji; and her cousin, Tyler Yuji.

Kia was born May 23, 1990 in Palau. She enjoyed listening to music, watching mafia movies (especially “The Godfather”), going to lakes, traveling with her girlfriend, and having meals with her mom. She was full of life! Kia loved her nieces and nephews. She was the fun aunt and enjoyed taking them to the arcade and having a great time. She loved to draw and was very artistic.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 2:30 p.m., also at Hamilton’s.
