Francisco “Papa” Andres Murillo-McKinney, 19, died April 18, 2021. Services will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA with visitation Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m.
Francisco was born April 3, 2002 to Angelle “Annie” McKinney and Francisco “Pancho” Murillo. He attended Roosevelt High School and enjoyed spending time with his son, Levi. Papa was an avid thrift shopper with a passion for working on cars and motorcycles.
Francisco was the life of the party with his jokes and funny ways and could light up a room instantly. He was intelligent, caring, and helpful to others. Words cannot describe how deeply Francisco is missed.
He is survived by his parents, Angelle “Annie” McKinney and Francisco Murillo of Des Moines; grandfather, John McKinney of Des Moines; son, Levi Khan Murillo Khoundara of Des Moines; brothers, Enrique Aboites-McKinney and Nathan Murillo of Des Moines; sisters, Averiana Murillo-McKinney of Tulsa, OK, Greisy Caserez Murillo of San Antonio, TX and Lesly Caserez Murillo of Kansas City, MO; the mother of his son, Mia Khoundara of Des Moines; his aunts, uncles, and many cousins – all of whom he was VERY close; and his many, many friends.

To The Family of Franciso Murillo-McKinney - It is with great sadness and heartfelt sympathy that we send our love and condolences during your hour of sorrow for the loss of our beloved Francisco. Although we only had the opportunity to share a brief period of time and a wonderful meal with him, because of his wit, charm, charisma, kind & loving attitude it feels like we've known him a lifetime! Rest In Paradise Francisco! You will truly be missed!
