Harold L. Bond, Jr.

Harold Lewis Bond, Jr., 79, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at his home in Des Moines.

Harold was born September 2, 1941 in Iowa City, Iowa to Harold Sr. and Violet (Gustason) Bond. He attended a one-room school house in Burchinal, Iowa. After school, he worked on the family farm. He married Daleen Reinholdt on August 23, 1986 in Martinsdale, Iowa at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Harold enjoyed golfing, fishing, working on cars, and mowing his lawn.

He is survived by his wife, Daleen; his daughters, Tara Bond and Mary (Joel) Smith; his grandchildren, Clinton Breer and Jennifer Marlatt; and his great-grandchildren, Rion, Oakley, and Dean.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents and his step-father, Woodrow Perham.

Cremation will occur and there will be no services held at this time.
