Devin Fry

Devin D. Fry, 13, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2009, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center from injuries sustained in a tragic hit and run accident.
Devin was born January 10, 1996. He was an honor student in the 8th grade at Hiatt Middle School. Devin enjoyed baseball, football and basketball and he loved to dance. He was a very ambitious young man, mowing lawns in the summer and shoveling snow in the winter. Devin touched many people and will be remembered for his kind and loving heart.
Devin is survived by his mother and step-father, Becky Hascall and Josh Piper; father, Don Redden; brother, Earl Tice, Jr.; half- brothers, Blake Masterson and Darionte Eggerson; half-sisters, Tiffany Burnett, Whitney Chalfant, Daje Conley, Tamelah and Diamond Redden; uncles, Darrell Redden, Cedric, Jeremiah, Dwayne and Markall Woods, Justin (Mary) and Jeff (Sue) Fry; maternal grandparents, Norman and Helen Fry; paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Gertrude and Larry Woods; maternal great-grandmother, Irene Bates; a nephew; and many, many cousins and beloved friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with burial following at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, where the family will be present from 4 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made at any Veridian Credit Union location where a memorial fund has been established in Devin's name.
