Service Details
Bob Schick, 62, died Sunday, September, 27, 2009 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Bob was born on July 2, 1947 to Lena (Bianchi) and Charles Schick in Des Moines, Iowa.
He served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge. Bob enjoyed his family, pets, and watching Hawkeye football.
Bob is survived by one brother, Joseph Stegman of Des Moines; and two sisters, Stephanie (Gary) Miller and Sheila Webb also of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at All Saints Catholic Church, 650 NE 52nd Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at Oralabor Cemetery. A visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to service time.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Bob.

I had the pleasure to work with Bob at the Iowa Veterans Home earlier this year for a few months, and I enjoyed every minute working with him!! He was always happy to see anyone that wanted to visit with him, even me as a nurse to poke his poor fingers!! I have missed him since I have been gone from the IVH. His smile and somehow he could remember my name, i thought maybe because he has a sister Stephanie that he talked about and since my name is Steffanie I just figured that is how he knew me. Well He was a good man for the time I knew him and enjoyed his company at work. May he Rest In Peace now!! -Steffanie
