Mindy and Laura I was sad to come across your dad's obituary. He was always so nice to me when we were growing up. The flowers he arranged for our wedding (over 40 years ago) were beautiful. One of the things I remember about your dad was how he always spoke of his family with love and concern for each of you. We always talked about Jesus and how thankful we were for His love, grace and mercy. Praying for God's peace to surround all of your family during this sad time.

Marilyn and Family,
Vernon and I were in the Mitchellville High School Class '51.(21 of us)
I always felt a little bad because I broke a date with Vernon to go out with my husband ( wed now 67yrs). We were so young. Vernon was a kind somewhat serious guy who was an all around good person. His obituary demonstrates that his life was a blessing to many. May our Lord's presence bring you peace and comfort.

Uncle Vernon was one of the best, he was kind, gentle and one of the most giving people I know. He opened his home to all and always made us feel welcome. Many family gatherings at the Clearview Farm were events that will never be forgotten. You are special and I will miss our conversations. With loving thoughts always....Mona
