Robert Ervin, age 71, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at Des Moines VA Medical Center in Des Moines. Robert was born on July 27, 1949, in Marshalltown, Iowa, to William and Marie Ervin.
Robert was a member of Union Park United Methodist Church, VFW Post #738, and Eagles #109. He had a passion for woodworking, fishing, and love for all animals, especially dogs. Robert enjoyed dancing which is how he met the love of his life, Julie. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Julie; sons, Karl Ervin, Jason (Amanda) Elliott, and Kevin (Abigail) Ervin; grandson, Strider Elliott; sister, Darla (Robert) Chaloupek; and his four-legged baby, Hunter.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Rose May; and other loving family members and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Union Park United Methodist Church, 2305 E. 12th St., Des Moines. Inurnment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 19, 2021 at Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Van Meter.

Julie, you and your family have our deepest sympathy and prayers. I'd only met Robert a couple times. I know he did love his family and 4 legged family. RIP Robert!
