I was so sorry to hear of Nanci's passing. My Mom recently passed away and Nanci sent a card with a beautiful message that brought back many memories of growing up in the same neighborhood and going to school together. Her whole family was like a second family to us. There are so many stories that come to mind but one that I'll never forget is when Nanci got her license and a car. We decided to drive through the blue lights at the airport. We ducked down in the car and flashed the headlights and blew the horn as we drove through only to find out that Tom, Jackie and my Mom were parked at the blue lights watching the planes land and take off. Boy did we get in trouble! I hope all your memories bring you comfort at this time. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember Nanci so fondly from high school. She was always kind, with a smile on her face. So sad I won't have the opportunity to renew our friendship.

My heart broke when I heard about your mom. I'm so sorry for your loss. I met your mom 25 years ago on March 25, 1996 at Allied ins. in Urbandale. She brought joy to everyone that knew her. Her quick wit was unsurpassed . I will miss all her stories that she would tell us at dinner of her sons or grandchildren and just keeping up what was going on in your lives. I know you know how much she loved all of you , we dinner ladies loved her too . I'm blessed to have known your mom and was blessed to have gone on one of her trips to Rhode Island ,she really loved it there. I'm so glad I talked with her before she passed, she was so upbeat that day . I wish I could take away the pain you are all feeling . Just know she is with you and there will be little signs she is there.

I am so sorry about the loss of your mother. I have worked with Nanci since 2004. She was always kind, friendly, and had something funny or witty to say. You guys were her whole world. Work will not be the same without her. I truly hope you find comfort in knowing how proud she was of her sons and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many people.
