Jeffrey Young

Jeffrey Young, 46, passed away on March 16, 2021 at his home.

Jeffrey was born June 6, 1974 to his parents Donald and Cindy (Campbell) Young. He graduated from Mankato West High School in 1992. He worked in telecommunications for the past 20 years.

Jeffrey enjoyed finding the best buys at consignment and thrift stores. He had an eye for decorating and art. Jeffrey also enjoyed cooking and people often told him that he looked like Guy Fieri. On several occasions he was asked for an autograph and one time he was even offered a free meal. Jeffrey spent a lot of his time with his family. He was always willing to help those in need and he never knew a stranger.

Jeffrey is survived by his parents, Donald and Cindy (Campbell) Young of Urbandale; children, Lilli Young-Froehlich of Omaha, Addisyn and Myles Young of Minnesota; loving girlfriend, Marti Sivi; brother, Joseph (Amber) Young and their children Logan and Paige of Grimes.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23rd at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. A funeral service will be held following the visitation at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. The family respectfully requests that all guests wear masks and practice social distancing guidelines.
