Catherine Lucille Cage-Robuck
March 12, 2021
Catherine “Cathy” Lucille Cage-Robuck, 64, passed away peacefully in her home on March 12th, 2021, with family by her side. Cathy was born July 27, 1956 in Runnells to Lyle Dean and Delores May Cage.
Cathy and her husband, Roy Robuck, were married for 46 years. She took pride in their Altoona home she and Roy built from the ground up. A place where the people she loved the most, her family, could gather. Cathy loved working on her beautiful yard and flower beds every season, creating the perfect place to soak up the sun, as she loved to do.
After 33 years, Cathy retired from the Iowa Department of Revenue. It was a job she loved, rarely taking a day off. Roy says Cathy’s strong work ethic grew from a desire to ensure her loved ones’ needs were always met. Cathy was a selfless woman, she found joy in spoiling her kids and grandchildren. However, her two Shih Tzus, Bella and Bailey were never left out and kept her company in retirement.
Cathy is survived by her husband Roy of 46 years; three daughters, Angie (Brad) Hosman, Tara Robuck and Lacey Robuck (Bobby Miller); six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and her brothers, Clifford (Connie) Cage and Garry Cage.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Cathy is remembered by her family for not only her endless love, but her tremendous strength. Cathy was a fighter and her example will forever be kept in the hearts of those who loved her the most.

It is sad to learn of Cathy's passing. She was such a brave warrior, fighting that dreadful invader. I worked with her at IDR and can say that this world has suffered a tremendous loss. My prayers are with all who loved Cathy.
