Antoine LeChé Davis

Antoine LeChé Davis (Twon Don), age 45, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. Antoine was born on October 6, 1975 to Rhonda Davis in Chicago, Illinois. Antoine moved to Memphis, Tennessee when he was 12 years old with his grandma (Gran-Gran) and family. In 2007, Twon decided to move from Memphis to Des Moines, Iowa.

Antoine graduated from Bolton High School in Memphis. He then went on to Southwest Tennessee College to pursue a career in business. Twon then became a professional painter.

Antoine’s smile would light up a room and his loud voice would shake the earth. Twon loved all kids as if they were his own. Twon was a “Fashion Statement” matching from head to toe. His love for shoes was like a kid in a candy store.

Twon loved the Los Angeles Lakers. He wouldn’t miss a game. He always would say, “I’m from Chicago/Memphis, but my favorite teams are from California… Babieeeeeee! Lakers, Dodgers, and the San Francisco 49’ers!” Anybody who knew Twon knew he loved music. Between music and shopping, his therapy was complete.

Those left to cherish his memory include his grandmother, Marie Brothers (Gran-Gran); mother, Rhonda Davis; fiancé, Sara Davis; three sons, Dontavius Davis, Jaylen Davis, and Cameron DeBerry; one daughter, Angel Hale; two step-sons, Damon Davis and Dominic Davis; one step-daughter, Destinee Clark; sister, Ebony Davis; nieces, Mariah Wadlington and Grace Davis; nephew, Christopher Wadlington; aunts, Debbie Buegel, Dianne Stout, Jessica MacNeal, and Alona Burnett; and uncles, Charles Davis and Paul Davis. He is also survived by his Iowa family: mama, Vivian Lee; sisters, Felicia Lee, Nashina Morrison, and Shalonda Kidd; brothers, James Lee, Jerry (Tonya) Leen, and David Brown; uncles, Mike Hill and Charlie Lee; nieces, Janice Wilborn, JaNaécia Sims, Sierra Sims, Grubby (Haley) Morrison, Natalya Lee, Thea Lee, Zoey Jones, Zaria Jones, and ZáLani Jones; nephews, C.J. Wilborn, Amaré Lee, JaRon Lee, Jordan Lee, Jerry Lee Jr., Jashawn Jones, and Dominique (Ashley) Morrison.

Antoine was preceded in death by his twin sons and his aunt, Doris McLemore.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with funeral service to begin at 12:00 pm, Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
