Jerry Lee Waters

Jerry Lee Waters went to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 17, 2009 after a short battle with lung cancer. Jerry was a self employed truck driver, retiring in 2002 after 40 years of coast to coast trips.
Jerry was united in marriage to the love of his life, Connie Coleen Mitchell on May 19, 1974. To this union, was born one son, Jerry Jr.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Everett & Evelyn Waters; his wife Connie; two brothers; Johnny and Jack. He is survived by three sisters; Janet (Gary) Bishop of Des Moines, Judy (Harry) Piffer of Indianola, and Joyce Belew of Des Moines; his son Jerry Jr of Orlando Fl, and one Grandson, Kamen.
Jerry is best remembered for his sense of humor, stubborn nature, and loving spirit. He had several choice phrases, and you never knew which one you would get.
A gathering of family and friends in memory of Jerry will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, September 20th at 7902 SW 10th Place, Des Moines. Jerry's cremated remains will be buried at the North River Cemetery, rural Norwalk at a later date.
