Albert Stodgel

Albert Stodgel, 65, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 1, 2007 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm Monday, February 5th at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Albert was born May 28, 1941in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of William and Thea (Askland) Stodgel. He retired from the City of Des Moines in 1996. Albert loved gambling at Prairie Meadows and traveling.
Albert is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Alan, Andrew, Stephen and Breanne (Barney); step-sons, Michael and Carl; grandson, Kadyn; siblings, Mike Stodgel, Edith Manley and John (Debbie) Stodgel; nieces and nephews, Kari (Reggie), Kim (Scott), John, Jennifer (John), Floyd (Alicia), Jaime and Joe (Carla); aunt, Edith Cebuhar and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will greet friends from 6-8pm Sunday, February 4th at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Capitol Hill Lutheran Church.
