Olive June Brown

Olive June Brown, 86, passed away Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Guthrie County Hospital in Guthrie Center.
Olive was born March 18, 1923 in Prairie City, IA. She graduated from Runnells High School. Olive retired in 1994 from Des Moines General Hospital, where she worked as a ward clerk for 21 years. She was a past member of the Methodist Church in Indianola, IA where she lived 41 years.
Olive is survived by her children, Paul (Karen) Brown, Donald (Glenda) Brown, Stephen Warren and Michael Warren; sisters, Gwen Kuhn and Jeanne Vermie; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gordon B. Warren; second husband Denzel Arthur Brown; brother, Anderson Vaughn, Jr.; and infant granddaughter, Christina Warren.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Warren-Powers Cemetery. The family will greet friends following the service from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Grant Park Christian Church (DOC), E. 25th & Capitol.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
