Edward Miller

Edward (Ted) Joseph Miller, 41, of West Des Moines, passed away Friday, September 11, 2009.
Ted was born to Richard and Doris Miller on January 30, 1968 in Iowa Falls, IA. He graduated from Iowa Falls High School in 1986 and the University of Northern Iowa in 1991 with a Bachelors degree in Accounting and Economics. He passed his CPA exam the same year.
In 1991, he started his career as an Assistant Controller for Excellence in Training Corp. in Urbandale. Ted was united in marriage to Julie Buresh on June 12, 1993 in Iowa Falls. In 1996, he began a career with Ernst & Young in the State and Local Tax Division.
Ted was an avid reader and terrible golfer. He skied, wrestled, played racquetball and was an Iowa Hawkeye Football Fan. But most of all, he cared for and loved deeply his wife and children. His family was most important in his life and they will miss his love and affection.
Ted is survived by his loving wife, Julie, and two wonderful children, Jessica (11), and Jacob (8). He is also survived by his mother, Doris of Iowa Falls, IA; sister, Anne (Carl) of Eldridge, IA; brothers, John (Elaine) of Des Moines and Jeff (Brenda) of West Des Moines; his mother and father-in-law, Kathy and Jerry Buresh of Iowa Falls, IA. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
Ted was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Miller and older brother, Steven W. Miller.
A Celebration of Ted's life will take place at Hamilton's on Westown Parkway from 5 to 8 pm, Monday, September 14, 2009 with a prayer service to be held at 7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
