Vera "Betty" McCullough

Verna "Betty" McCullough, 68, passed away Sunday October 29 at the Kavanagh House on Grand. Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home.
Betty was born November 16, 1937 in Fulton, MO. to Thelma and Emmett Burns. She worked as a nurse's aide for more than 25 years. She worked in Fulton, Fort Dodge and at Des Moines General in Des Moines. Betty was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She volunteered a lot of time helping folks in nursing homes and hospitals. She also volunteered as an interpreter for the deaf in her church and in the community. She liked to crochet and dance. She loved spending time with her family.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Tebra Rhode (John) and her son, Dwayne Eugene Jinson. Six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dora Boothe.
