Todd Novak

Todd W. Novak, 28, died unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Through his own generosity to be an organ donor, Todd will help 100 other families.
Todd was born July 7, 1981 to Louis and Barbara Novak in Runnells. He was the manager of Midas on Douglas Avenue and enjoyed racing, especially NASCAR and Knoxville Raceway. Todd had a love for his nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Todd is survived by his father, Lou (Mary Lou) Novak; siblings, Tony (Karla) Novak, Tina Salisbury, and Tanya (Steve) Current; nieces, Morgan, Taylor, and Piper; nephews, Cooper and Riley; family friend, Tracy Green; best friends, Dan Thornberg and Steve and Jessica Webb; numerous aunts; uncles; cousins; and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Novak; brother-in-law, Shawn Salisbury; paternal grandparents, Louis and Virginia Novak; and maternal grandparents, William Piper and Pearl Kisling.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, September 14, 2009 at New Life Church, 6036 NE 12th Avenue in Pleasant Hill, with burial to follow at Rising Sun Cemetery. A visitation with the family present will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2009 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street, Altoona.
