Helen L. Cram

Helen Louise Cram, 88, of 745 N.E. 52nd Avenue, died September 10, 2009. The body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church of which she was a member. Private interment of the cremains will be held prior to service.
Helen was a lifelong Des Moines resident. After working as a secretary for a railroad lobbyist, she retired in 1983.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Gene. Survivors include her son, Bruce of Des Moines; two daughters, Jonay Merrill of West Des Moines and Denise (Dave) Ledvina of Urbandale; four grandchildren, Chad and Andy Merrill, Travis (Heather) Tams, and Sarah (Theron) Virtue; and four great-grandchildren, Carter, Colby, and Carly Tams and Ellie Virtue.
Friends may call at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. on Sunday, September 13, 2009, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 800 E. 12th Street, Des Moines, IA 50316.
