Barbara Jean Jones

Barbara Jean Jones, 79, died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in Des Moines. Barbara was born on September 30, 1929 in Canonsburg, PA. Barbara loved her nursing job of 48 years and enjoyed antiquing.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Lowell, two sons, Gerald, and Steven (Sherry) Jones; and three grandchildren, Erica, Ethan, and Natalie. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2009, at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, with burial to follow at McKeever Cemetery. A visitation with the family present will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2009, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa in loving memory of Barbara.
