Michael Ray Theis

Michael Theis, 68, passed away at his home on March 4, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was born May 23, 1952, in Des Moines. He worked for Lumber Mans Wholesale for over 40 years, where he worked his way up to Head of Operations then to Vice President. Michael could fix anything. He was always there for family and friends. He enjoyed being outdoors and connecting with nature. Michael loved camping and road trips, especially to Colorado. Michael loved being with his family and was very proud to be a dad and a “Pe Paw”.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Mikka Theis and Scott (JulieAnna) Theis; two grandchildren; four brothers; many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, LeAnn Theis, his wife of 49 years and a brother.

A joint Celebration of Life will be held for him and his wife LeAnn later this summer.
