Service Details
Russell Duncan,76, passed away on March 1, 2021 at Adel Acres in Adel. Funeral services will be held at West Des Moines Christian Church, 4501 Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Service will be streamed online at WDMCC.org.
Russ was born March 21, 1944 to Winfred and Lucille Duncan in Des Moines, IA. He graduated from East high school. Russell was a proud veteran of the United Sates Navy. He retired from UPS in 2003.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth “Jean” Duncan; children, Michele Duncan, Gonzales, LA, Jeff (Idania) Duncan, St. Louis, MO, Karen (Jim) Wolgamuth, Everett, WA, and Suzanne (Matt) Hein, West Des Moines, IA; 10 grandchildren; and sister, Rhonda Hand, Indianola, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be directed to West Des Moines Christian Church.
The family would like to thank Adel Acres and Hospice of the Midwest for their wonderful care of Russ.

Im so sad saying goodbye to Russ. He was a truly bright spot in a world where bright spots are rare. Peace and comfort to all of his family and friends.
