Jack Timothy Daily

Jack Timothy Daily was born in Des Moines January 10, 1932, the son of John Charles (King) Daily and Eunice Norine McKenzie and step-son of Frank Eugene McCarthy (Pop). Jack came to know the Lord Jesus Christ on May 1, 1966. He went home to be with his Saviour Monday September 7, 2009.
Jack worked for Anderson Erickson Dairy for over 30 years and was in the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1955 and served his county on the U.S.S. Shea. He was a member of Altoona Regular Baptist Church. Jack enjoyed reading and studying his Bible and witnessing for Jesus.
He is survived by his beloved wife Donna; his sons, Terry (Shawn) and Rick (Laura) Daily; his daughter Sue (Mark) Bowlin; grandsons, Nick & Lucas Daily, Tony, Mike and Jeff Smith and Jeremy Daily, Daniel and Matthew Bowlin, great-grandson Michael Ethan Daily; great-granddaughter Andrea Sommer; sisters, Virginia (Don) Hildreth and Molly McCarthy; sisters-in-law, Mary Warren and Betty Foddrill; his childhood friend George Pierce, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Tim Daily, his brothers, Paul, Terry, Mike and Patrick McCarthy; a sister, Norma Damaini; grandson Michael Daily, and his childhood friend Dick McNealy.
Visitation will be Wednesday September 9, 2009 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Altoona Regular Baptist Church, 800 3rd Avenue SW in Altoona at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Chris Humburg officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in Jack's memory.
