David E. Page

David E. Page, 68, died Sunday, September 6, 2009 at the Taylor House in Des Moines. David was born on April 24, 1941, in New Britain, CT.
David proudly served in the United States Air Force. He worked at Stone Container and retired two years ago from Prairie Meadows Casino.
David loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed several years in his youth with Junior Achievement. He was an avid reader, enjoyed talking politics and liked going with his wife to Flea Markets, Tama and going out to eat. David also liked bowling and won a gold medal at the Iowa Games.
David is survived by his wife, Berni; his daughters, Denise (Peter) Church of Davenport, and Angela Copeland of Morton, WA.; His stepchildren, Amanda Craft, Council Bluffs, Robert Boyd of Lyddonia, MO.; his nine grandchildren; his father, Edwin Page, his sisters, Carol (Jim) Growden and Marleah Varian.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Page and his son, Joseph Page.
Funeral services will be held 2 pm Thursday, September 10, 2009 at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial to follow at Masonic Cemetery. A visitation with the family present will be held one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of David.
