Nicholas Joseph Medina
February 19, 2021
Nicholas Joseph Medina, 28, passed away on February 19, 2021 from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Nick was born on August 15, 1992 to Gregory and Shawnelle (Bramble) Medina.
He packed more living into his 28 years than most do in a lifetime: camping, snowboarding, hunting, cooking, dancing, and enjoying his favorite music. As a young man, Colorado drew him west where he explored nature and the Great Outdoors. Plants, animals, and the environment. They mattered to Nick. His friends were as many and as varied as his interests. You didn’t have to be blood to be Nick’s family, and he never knew a stranger. Humble, kind, and funny, Nick was beloved by many.
Nick is survived by his parents, Gregory (Angel) Medina and Shawnelle Medina; siblings, Lucas (Casey) Bramble and Olivia Medina; love of his life, Brittney Lipichok; step-siblings, Kaylee Browning, Reid (Dianna) Woodyard, and Evan Hankins; grandparents, Richard Medina, Kerry and Marcia Bramble, and Elmer Vespestad; great-grandma, Norma Jean Bramble, uncles, Kyle Vespestad, Corey (Rachel) Vespestad, Noah (Stephanie) Bramble, Josh (Sherron) Bramble, Tony (Erin) Medina, and Rick (Cathy) Medina; aunts, Jennifer Bramble, Holly (Jason) Russell, Sarah (Scott) Haber, and Mona Medina; cousins, Lexi Russell, Stella Bramble, Mya Kees, Kadin Kees, Corie Bramble, Cason Haber, Colten Haber, Gauge Bramble, Ghia Bramble, Zac Sears, Nathan Sears, Emily (Donovan) Leigh, Sariah (Shane) Steed, and Dylan (Erica Yager) Medina; and numerous other loving family members.
Nick was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Dolores Medina and Bonnye Bramble; and cousins, Addam Medina, baby Tony Medina, and Alexandria Sears.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., time of prayer will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by time of sharing to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 also at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Nick.

I wasn't fortunate enough to meet Nick, but I've met several of Shawnelle's family and words cannot express my sorrow at your loss of Nick. Let the love of your family, friends, and sometimes even strangers, carry you when you can't put one foot in front of the other. And you have so much love surrounding you. Many thoughts and prayers for all who loved Nick.

Dear Shawnelle, your precious son was called, far to soon, to his eternal home...but know your loving family and friends are there for you, as you are not alone...Nick is in the glory, of our Lord's most holy love, the rapture and the beauty, of glorious heavens above. All his earthly burdens, are now forever gone, he's surrounded by a choir of angels, and their heavenly song. The joy he feels now. can only compare, to sweet childhood memories of his mama's snuggles as you stroked his silky hair. I know that your heart is breaking, the ache will gradually lesson but always stay,
someday, though. you'll be reunited, and the pain will go away. With God's promise, you'll be in the presence, of Nick's beautiful face, someday you'll get to hold your sweet boy, In a long awaited embrace, may treasured memories sustain you, and God's eternal love and grace....
Words cannot express how very sorry I know we all are for your loss, our hearts break for you, may the love of God, family and friends bring you comfort, thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers, with sympathy and love. Jean.

Nick was an amazing person who had figured out how beautiful this life is, and lived every moment to the fullest. He was full of Love and Compassion, felt by all those who knew him, especially by the love of his life (and my daughter) Brittney. All the children in our family were attracted to Nick's kind and gentle nature as well and they loved "Uncle Nick". Whether Nick was pursuing one of his passions, or simply hanging out with friends and family, he was always blessed with a sense of Peace and Joy. It is with great heaviness of heart that I say goodbye to you Son, I love you and will see you on the flip-side.
