Willamenia Jordan, age 58, passed away Friday, February 19, 2021.
Willamenia was born February 20, 1962 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She graduated from Tech High School in Des Moines, Iowa. She held various positions during her career including working for Best Western Hotel, Goodwill, and Fountain West, but her passion was caring for children. She loved kids and enjoyed many years of caring for them in her in-home day care.
Family was first and foremost in Willamenia’s world. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, and loved her family unconditionally. She was sharp-witted and loved talking and teasing people. She loved playing spades, dancing, and cooking for family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Otha Jordan; children, Tirea (Ronnie) Love, Latasha Fuller, Kanesha Fuller, Jermaine McCray, Ireena McCray, Romello Fuller, and Rome Fuller; 22 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Raymond Fuller, Shirley Fuller, and Phillip Cook; best friend, Brenda Dixon; and a host of extended family and many loving friends.
Willamenia was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Fuller; grandchildren, Kiyon and Meniasha; and best friend, Rochelle Hayes.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., , Friday, March 19, 2021, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Willamenia.

My aunt menia you touched alot of lives in your very short time here especially mine from the day we met I was around 11 you never treated me any different and also stood up for me at times along with teasing me like you did everyone else your laughter and smile will be missed this isn't goodbye but see you later until we meet again i love you

MENIA AND I HAVE BEEN FRIENDS MANY YEARS. SHE WAS AN AWESOME MOTHER AND G RANDMOTHER. WHEN WE USED TO TALK ON THE PHONE MY CAT WOULD MEOW AND I WOULD SAY YOU WANT TO TALK TO AUNT MENIA AND MENIA WOULD SAY YOU AND THAT DAM CAT. I WILL MISS YOU SO MUCH. REST IN HEAVEN SWEET ANGEL. LOVE WENDY
