I believe the true measure of Sigs Life is readily discerned in that those who knew him were infinitely better for his acquaintance. In conversation or correspondence, in moments serious or jovial, Sig ever was fully attentive and thus invested in being present. A simply delightful trait of his. And rare besides.
I shall miss losing to him, as always seemed the case no matter how well I played, in afternoon bouts of cribbage. As in Life, Sig always got great cards 😌 Godspeed

Sending sympathy to Sig's wonderful family as well as all who knew and loved him. Sig had many friends and neighbors who were lucky to experience his kind heart, giving spirit, and gentle humor. I will remember him always, especially his frequent smile and warm ways.

Dear Ann,
I share your grief on Sig's passing. His gentle nature and quiet humor were a delight to all who knew him. I treasure the times Jeannie and I spent with you and Sig.
Time will erase the sadness, but fond memories will endure.

Oh Mertze (and family),
My heart turns to prayers for you all. This is especially hard for you, his only child left to grieve and work through with your Mother. I was around you more next door when you lost your brother. You are such a strong woman, I know you will be fine. I also know the journey to fine can be dark and long. I send you light from my soul to yours.
Virtual hugs to you, Ian and your Mother.

We are so sorry to hear about Sig. His passing brings such fond memories of Jo An Riter, my mother-in-law, and Sigs only sibling. Along with their parents, Jo An preceded him in death. She adored her brother and they were very close. May they both Rest In Peace.

I have never met a more kind loving soul. I have traveled the world by your experiences and stories. Learned so many things about gardening and so many other things. The loss of your Son was one of the hardest things we helped each other through. I know you are flying high with him now. Love you more than you will ever know!! Till we meet again!! You are and will be missed!!
