My brothers, Dave and Marv and I considered Sandy as the sister we had not had. This was, of course, after she, in a trailing car, responded to an old guy on a bike taking to a ditch . She had resuscitated him before EMT's arrived. It turned out she was an ER nurse at his hospital where he was to arrest a couple more times that night, and then followed him as a friend in the hospital and after his return to an active life. Later they became poster children for the Red Cross across Iowa, encouraging CPR., he a minister and Kiwanian and she a angel, expanded each others worlds for a time, a relationship that continued through several holidays, We are so sorry to learn of her death. As a Hospice chaplain of 25 years, I am gratified to at least consider she surely received the ministrations of many other nurse/angels as she herself had provided others.

Gary & family - were so sorry about Sandy. Probably one of the first times I met Sandy was when her sister Pam had a slumber party at their house when we were teenagers almost 60 years ago. Sandy & I alawys said we were shirt tail relation because Pam married my uncle Al! When our kids were growing up, Sandy & Pams families live next door to each other. Love & prayers Gary, Joe, John & Jim plus your extended family and Pam, Anne & Kathy. R. I. P. Sandy
