Dennis Prindle

Dennis Prindle, age 72, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2021.

Dennis was born December 27, 1948 in Des Moines, Iowa to Leonard and Elveretta Prindle. He was a graduate of Des Moines Tech High School and was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Dennis married Carol (Dunn) and together they enjoyed 52 loving years. Most important to Dennis was his family and his faith. He adored his grandkids and loved spending time with them. Dennis was very active in his church and faithfully did his daily devotions. He was a kind and gentle man who would help anyone in need. He touched countless lives through his generosity and compassion. In his free time, Dennis liked watching the Price is Right and was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams being the Royals, Chiefs, and the Iowa Hawkeyes.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Beth (Don) Mechem, Jay (Jennifer) Prindle; grandchildren, Kyle Mechem and Bryse, Brooke, and Isaac Prindle; great-grandsons, Daniel and Noah Mechem; sisters, Vicki Dilts and Karen (John) Martinicky; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Elveretta Prindle.

All services will be held at New Hope Assembly of God, 4425 70th Street, Urbandale. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to family for a future designation.
